  1. Lies. I have GAD, and marijuana has helped me a lot. In fact, in the state of California, people are prescribed marijuana for the exact purpose of treating anxiety disorders. Particularly indica strains. Also, there is not one person on this planet, I will bet, that is DEPENDENT on marijuana. Addicted MENTALLY, maybe, not physically however.

  2. Brenda, I had PTSD, from military Sexual Trauma & childhood of the same. Over 20 yrs of flashback nightmares, would wake up soaking wet screaming. All those yrs of therapies, cognitive, behavioral, medications w/horrible side affects, ZILCH! 17 months ago I spent 5 days learning /doing EFT with Gary Craig’s PTSD combat Vets group. 17 months not a SINGLE nightmare NO MORE Anxiety or depression. I’m a work in progress, but EFT is a godsend. IT Works, try it !! It’s free to learn and is awesome!

  3. i am dependent on marijuana. smoke atleast an eight everyday and pass out around 12 at night to wake up at 7 to phening more weed. It has takina huge negative effect in my life and has turned me from a outgoing socialble, life of the party kinda guy into a introvert who doesnt want to leave his room. just thought i would let you know marijuana is a high cause of generalized anxiety disorder and if not properly treated can become permanent ina form of schitzophrenia.

Well, if you are sure you even have GAD then you need to continue sessions with your therapist and then he/she will be able to either put you on medicine paired with therapy visits or just simply therapy visits. It’s hard for a person with anxiety to simply calm themselves down or talk themselves out of it. Doing that is about as futile as telling a person with cancer to just “not have cancer anymore”. It’s not as simple as that.

  5. man i have it this generel anxiety disorder

  6. i function very well when i smoke pot but otherwise everything irritates me, im nauseous, cant breathe, and my hands and feet go numb! i dont have insurance and im afraid of being hooked on xanax. pot isnt physically addictive, dosage is easily controlled, and its herbal. the only prob is sometimes i cant find it when i need it, oh yeah and its illegal so im afraid of getting caught and going to jail where i would really freak out. what should i do? i welcome any suggestions!! thanks : )

  7. Ok but what can one do to combat it and be able to relax?
